The Nizhegorodsky District Court of Nizhny Novgorod fined Aleksey Bubnov, a participant in pickets against amendments to the Constitution, a thousand rubles under the article on disobedience to the lawful demands of police officers (Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). This was announced to OVD-Info by the chairman of the Nizhny Novgorod "Memorial" Arkady Galker.
Bubnov was detained on June 28 at Theater Square. Disobedience, according to the police, was expressed in the fact that he did not show his passport to the officers.
During the trial, Judge Zhanna Senkina, together with those present, watched the video of the detention and interrogated the witness, the author of the video, Aleksey Sharagin. According to Galker, the judge raised her voice, tried to put pressure on the witness.
Bubnov was defended by a lawyer from OVD-Info Artem Nikitin.
On July 27, the same judge arrested Maksim Alibaev, a participant in a solitary picket against the inadmissibility of Yabloko candidate Alexei Sadomovsky, for three days for three days. A protocol was drawn up against Alibaev under Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. On August 20, she retried the case, as the regional court overturned her first decision. This time she arrested Alibaev for five days.
