In Dagestan, 27 people protested against the development of the disputed territory

In Dagestan, 27 residents of the village of Krasnoarmeyskoye, opposing the development of disputed lands, were detained. This happened after about 300 inhabitants of the village entered the protest. This was reported by the publication "Draft".

It is reported that OMON used tear gas and stun gunners to accelerate protesters. Many of them were subsequently detained in their homes.

According to the police, which TASS refers to, the protesters "behaved aggressively, damaged equipment, posed a threat to the life and health of others."

The authorities promised to transfer them to the local residents who returned from the deportation in 1957. Now officials say that the status of these lands is not defined, since archival documents have been lost.
