The United States imposed sanctions against persons and companies associated with Prigozhin

The United States announced the introduction of sanctions against a number of Russians and structures related to the businessman close to the Kremlin Evgeny Prigozhin and participating in the campaign to strengthen Russian influence in the Central African Republic (TsAB).

The US Department of Finance on Wednesday also announced measures against persons who are allegedly assisted by the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB), and those who help citizens and organizations bypass American sanctions, reports Voice America .

New sanctions are imposed against six Russians: Boris Gaykovich, Elena Ivanova, Evgenia Khodotov, Nadezhda Kuchimova, Alexander Kuzin, Vladislav Zanin, Dmitry Sytoyn. Also, a citizen of Finland Nikita Kovalevsky was included in the list. At the same time, the company, CAR and Finland related to these people in Russia, GCH Finland Oy, Lobaye Invest, M-Financial, NPP PT Oceanos, Optima Freight Oy, Unicum Trade Oy, are subject to restrictive measures.

As noted in the statement of the Ministry of Finance, these measures continue Washington's efforts to hold Russian intelligence services to the destabilizing actions, such as malicious cybersecurity and intervention in the elections.

Long before this, the United States imposed sanctions against the Putin’s cook itself, as Prigozhin is called, as well as the structures that associate with it, including the Internet research agency, known as the “Troll factory”, and the “private military company (PMC) of Wagner”, involved in operations in Syria, Libya and a number of African countries .

Moscow has always categorically denied accusations of interfering in the elections in other countries and in relations with hackers convicted of hacks of foreign government sites.
