The dollar exchange rate in the course of trading on September 23 exceeded 77 rubles. This is the mark of the end of April, when the new OPEC + deal to reduce oil production has not yet come into effect.
The dollar exceeded the mark of 77 rubles around 17.30 Moscow time, by 18.30 it was at 76.8 rubles. A similar trend was shown by the euro, rising in price against the dollar, again approaching 90 rubles.
The reason is the absence of external factors to support the ruble with the growth of the dollar against world currencies and the simultaneous increase in geopolitical risks. This includes the crisis in Belarus, and the situation around the poisoning of Alexei Navalny, and the expansion of sanctions through OFAC.
Oil did not show any pronounced dynamics today - Brent remained at $42 per barrel.
