Human rights activist Alena Popova was summoned to the Center for Combating Extremism. The reason was a complaint by State Duma deputy Sergei Veremeenko to a Facebook post by Popova about domestic violence. The post talked about the high level of domestic violence in Russia. It is reported by MBH Media.
Popova was interrogated under the article on the public dissemination of knowingly false information (Article 207.1 of the Criminal Code). The survey lasted half an hour. The human rights activist said that whether a case will be opened will become known only in a week.
