The Moscow City Health Service recommended that pregnant women and people with chronic diseases stay at home

The Moscow City Health Service has expanded the list of categories of citizens who are recommended to stay at home due to the growing number of people infected with coronavirus. This is reported on the department's website.

“Compared to the spring, this list of categories of citizens has been expanded, it additionally included pregnant women and women in the postpartum period, residents with impaired immune systems, diseases of the genitourinary system, musculoskeletal system and connective tissue (rheumatological diseases), additional categories of diseases of the circulatory system and endocrine system,” the department said.

The Moscow City Health Service explained that these categories of citizens are most susceptible to complications from coronavirus.

Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced that Muscovites over 65 years old “should not leave home unless absolutely necessary.”

Today in Moscow more than one and a half thousand people infected with coronavirus were detected per day - the last time such numbers were in June. The authorities called on the largest companies to transfer their employees to remote work.

The authorities have not announced the beginning of the second wave of coronavirus infections. Rospotrebnadzor expert Alexander Gorelov claims that we are talking about “a continuation of the first wave.”
