An employee of the Dagestan penal colony-2 was detained due to the escape of six prisoners through a tunnel under the wall

In Dagestan, the foreman of production site No. 1 of the labor adaptation center for convicts in correctional colony No. 2, from where six prisoners escaped, was detained. This was reported by the press service of the Republican Directorate of the Investigative Committee.

According to the department, the prisoners made a tunnel at his site, through which they escaped on the night of September 23. An employee of a maximum security colony located in the suburbs of Makhachkala was charged under the article of abuse of power (Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code).

The length of the tunnel was 40 meters, and in several places it reached a width of several meters. According to Channel One, the digging began in the workshop where prisoners were manufacturing board games.

The escapees have still not been found. Two of them were convicted of murder, and four were convicted of drug charges. The personnel of the Federal Penitentiary Service for Dagestan were raised to search for them. For help in the search for the power of the republic, they promised a reward of one million rubles.
