A Ural man who shot two girls with a rifle was sentenced to life imprisonment

The Sverdlovsk Regional Court sentenced engineer Alexey Alexandrov, who shot two girls in a Yekaterinburg forest park, to life imprisonment. This was reported on the website of the Prosecutor General's Office.

The court found that at the end of August 2018, Alexandrov arrived at a forest park in the Uktus area. For sighting, he put a night vision monocular on his head and walked deep into the forest “in order to search for victims of the planned murder,” the report says.

Alexandrov climbed to the top of the training slope of the ski complex, noticed two resting girls and began to watch them. After making sure that no one was around, he fired his rifle at least three times into each head. Noticing that one of the girls was still showing signs of life, he shot her at least two more times in the head. After this, the attacker fled.

The bodies of the girls - 29-year-old Ksenia Soltanova and 28-year-old Natalya Kuznetsova - were found by mushroom pickers, wrote Komsomolskaya Pravda . Doctors tried to save Kuznetsova for five days, but she died.

Aleksandrov was found guilty of murdering two persons for hooligan reasons (subparagraphs “a”, “i”, parts 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code). The court sent him to a special regime colony.
