In St. Petersburg in 2021, public transport tariffs will increase. This was told by the chairman of the Transport Committee Kirill Polyakov on the air of the 78 television channel.
Polyakov said that the increase is planned since the beginning of the new year. He added that this measure is not caused by coronavirus, but fits into general trends like the growth of pensions and housing and communal services.
First of all, we are talking about raising tariffs for one -time travel, which, according to the committee, mainly use tourists - while the townspeople prefer a more profitable "plantain". How to increase the cost of one -time travel and whether the fare for the “plantain” will rise, Polyakov did not specify.
From January 1, 2020, the cost of one -time travel increased by 10 rubles. Prices for trips for the owners of the Plantain and the Unified Map of the Petersburger increased by 4 %. The Smolny necessity of raising prices was explained by the fact that the city does not want to subsidize tourists' trips.
In early September, Fontanka reported that Smolny was discussing an increase in the cost of the fare by metro to 62 rubles.
