Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced a two-week holiday in city schools to reduce the incidence of coronavirus infection Covid-19. This was reported on the website of the mayor of the capital.

Sobyanin clarified that scheduled autumn holidays begin on October 5 in most Moscow schools, in some - a little later, and usually last one week. On the recommendation of doctors, the mayor of Moscow increased the duration of these holidays and decided to hold them simultaneously.

I kindly ask parents to explain to their children that the holiday time is best spent at home or in the country. And if you go out for a walk, then go to the yard or the nearest park. You should not visit shopping centers or ride public transport for fun.

Additional education institutions and children's leisure organizations will also suspend their work for two weeks. Kindergartens will continue to operate as usual. Sobyanin said that a significant part of the sick are children.
