On the eve of the first presidential debate in the United States, an information bomb exploded with a very long bicford cord, which smoldered for four years. New York Times got and printed Trump's tax returns, which he hid with such persistence that even the Supreme Court could not persuade him.
And now it’s clear why. Trump turned out to be the genius of our postmodern era. He is the most famous Simulakr in the world - a copy without the original. The only money that he earned was paid to him for representing the viewers of a successful businessman, which he had never been. The success of this purely Borgesian campaign did not help Trump cope with debts. It owes more than 400 million dollars, and, most of all, is worried about American intelligence, it is not known to anyone.
“The president’s debts threaten American security,” said the Democrats leader in Congress Nancy Peloshi, hinting that Trump, who was refused to give money to American banks, took them from the enemies of America, be it oligarchs or the mafia, which is often the same.
However, it is not these huge and therefore unimaginable amounts for us excite the general public, but a modest $ 750. Exactly so much, already as president of the United States, Trump paid federal taxes in 2016, and in 2017 too.
This is less than the cashier pays in the store, less than the elevator, the watchman, and of course, the hairdresser, whose services cost the president $ 70 thousand, if he believes his declaration.
Trump urged her not to believe and habitually called the investigation of New York Times with a lie. It would be easy to convince everyone if the president himself published data on his taxes, as all previous applicants did and as he promised. But something suggests that Trump will never do this.
On the other hand, the president, not without reason, hopes that no information at all can shake the strong feelings that he evokes among his fans. I think he is right.
My comrade-dissident talked about the sectarians sitting with him, who were waiting for the Last Judgment in Mordovia. When the scheduled date passed without a trace, none of them was upset, but was mortally offended if the strangers asked malicious questions.
This is seen the key to what is happening. Trump's problem is not that they do not like him. This happened with many presidents. From Reagan, as I myself read in one leaflet, "people, animals, even minerals turned away." Disputes about Clinton and voluptuousness led to the fact that they almost put me out of a friendly house. Bush Jr. annoyed many to colic, Obama-to seizures. This is normal: the president is responsible for the mess not only in public, but also in our lives - he is in sight, and it is easier to blame him.
With love is more difficult.
Of those seven presidents that I found in America, one Trump causes ecstasy for many, others have a quiet adoration, and ours has an enthusiastic thrill.
The president covers the Teflon layer, from which the accusations bounce, falling into criticism. For half a century of life in the press, I have never heard as many threats addressed to me as in four years of Trump. Even friends ceased to be with them, having learned that I did not share their passions. The Jews called me the leftist, conservatives - by the Marxist henchman, and all the rest - with a corrupt skin.

Why does Trump cause such fanatic fidelity that no arguments, facts and crimes for which he was imperative in the Congress could shake it?
A whole library has already been written about this. They will write the second if Trump wins, the third - if he loses. But so far no one knows the results of the elections, we can witness - and participants - that deadly battle that awaits us in the most important elections for our lives.
With this mood, I sat down at the TV in anticipation of the debate.
To tell about what was happening on the screen, I had to look at him with my and other people's eyes. In the end, the trump player differs that will not even agree to change optics for a minute and listen to the arguments of those who do not agree with him. But if democracy teaches something, then patience that allows you to endure the antagonist and play it.
So, what did the Trump voter saw on the debate:
The president resembled a bull in Corrida. The noble rage bubbled in it. The temperament was torn out, and no one dared, and could not stop him - neither the moderator, nor the regulation, and even more so sluggish rival. The miserable metropolitan functionary, who, stuttering and recovering, was babbling into the microphone, Biden looked like a sacrificial sheep. Although in fact he plays the role of the Trojan horse, whom the left haters of real America want to use in his devilish game: to divide and give everything to the blacks. Fortunately, Trump put this hostage of socialists in place, not allowing to open his mouth, from which nothing is heard anyway except the usual political bleach. The debates convinced everyone that when Trump becomes president, all the misfortunes will end: the virus will retreat, unemployment will disappear, racial protests will subside, and the democrats will know their place, preferably on the bunks.
But what the opponent of Trump made from the debate:
The president resembled a bull in Corrida. Boiling and foaming, he rushed into battle, not in need of banderils. Fury was his answer to all questions - both his own and Biden. At the same time, without stopping, as usual, to lie, he noted any objections, urging them to consider them “false news”. In the almost inarticulate stream of speech (“Logorea”, as psychiatrists call it), he choked in compliments to himself and in curses to everyone else, primarily an independent press, pissing his trifles like taxes. In translated into human language, Trump's central thesis sounds like this: when he again becomes the president, the virus will retreat, unemployment will disappear, racial protests will subside. And no one told him that he was already the president - almost four years.

And finally, this is what I saw on the debate:
Trump was like a bull only face and haircut. Otherwise, he vividly resembled the Buyan second-year, which I often dream of since I taught at school. He always broke a carefully prepared lesson also because he could not prepare for him.
The most difficult thing was the moderator. Chris Wallace, a veteran of political journalism from the Fox Channel friendly Trump, is known for direct questions. It was he (long before the attempt on Navalny) asked Putin why his opponents die so often. Putin did not answer. Trump, too, is not a single question, starting, of course, from its taxes, which is about the part of the country that pays them today.
Before the debuts, Wallace promised to be invisible, not interfering with applicants to discuss their political prospects. In fact, he played the role of the tamer, but to no avail - even when he stopped the debate, trying to explain Trump, which the president should not interrupt the opponent every second.
In the war of the president with the moderator, Biden seemed to be strangers. Reacting to the enemy’s escapades, he laughed in exhausted, raised his eyes to the ceiling, and more often in vain waited for Trump's tantrums, which continued when the debates ended. Tearing a few minutes of silence, Biden, looking into the cell, turned directly to the people, sometimes being distracted from the preaching prepared for the future, to call Trump a liar, a fool and a Putin shavka. Trump was not offended, because he didn’t hear himself either, speaking all the time and what happened.
The best that can be said about the debate is that they finally ended. The audience breathed a sigh of relief, the journalists with despair, the organizers - with a vain hope for the next session. This is not so difficult. It is enough to turn on the microphone of each only for those two minutes that all the rules set by the two -party committee assign to each participant. But this is unlikely to come out of this. Trump will not agree. The star of real television, he counts on those spectators who in hockey do not love goals, but brawls.
I have never seen America so fragmented, tired, close to despair and complete hatred of opponents. But such democracy is better than none. If the Russian president would have become him in the unpredictable elections in a desperate and public struggle against an irreparable opponent, all life in the country would be different - complex, but free.
