Mikhail Efremov accused the former lawyer of pressure and repented

A letter from the pre -trial detention center of actor Mikhail Efremov, sentenced by the Presnensky court to 8 years in a fatal accident committed in a drunk state, was published on the Internet. The document of the document states that this is an addition to the appeal about the verdict.

The accident involving Efremov occurred in the evening of June 8 in the center of Moscow. His jeep flew into the oncoming lane and crashed into the Lada van, which was driven by Sergey Zakharov. The man died of injuries in the hospital. The examination found that Efremov at the time of the accident was in a state of alcohol and narcotic intoxication.

In his additions to the appeal, Efremov fully pleads guilty and is ready to compensate for the damage to the injured side. He also explained the refusal to admit guilt during the trial of the case of the case of the actions of his former lawyer Pashayev, who insisted that there was no evidence of the actor’s guilt in what happened.

“My position in court was associated with the pressure on me of my defender Pashayev, expressed in a change in my position of complete recognition in the deed and sincere repentance, as well as the desire to compensate the material and moral damage caused by the victims, since Pashayev convinced me of the absence of evidence of my guilt in an accident,” wrote Efremov.

The actor emphasized that he sincerely repents of his deed, and also apologized to the family of Sergei Zakharov and appealed to the court with a request to mitigate the sentence "to the limits not related to deprivation of liberty."

Efremov noted that he completely compensated the moral damage established by the court verdict in favor of the victim in the amount of 800 thousand rubles.

This is not the first statement of the artist about guilty. The first Efremov was recorded in the form of a video message. He asked for forgiveness from Zakharov’s family, expressing his readiness to provide any possible support - “if they accept”. The actor assured that he wanted to do this "not to pay off, but to atone." “I don’t understand how to continue to live,” he said, adding that he does not intend to try to “excuse” and use some kind of connection.

During the trial, Efremov sharply changed his position towards the denial of his guilt. On the process, he said that he remembers almost nothing. Only before the opening of the parties did he unexpectedly informed Judge Elena Abramova that he pleaded guilty, and in the last word he repented of what had happened. Abramova, however, considered that Efremov pleaded guilty only partially.

“What happened, it turned out. Such, then, is fate. On that day [when an accident occurred], alas, I don’t remember anything somewhere from 13.00. So morality is simple - you need to drink less, ”the actor wrote after the sentence.

Then Efremov refused the services of lawyer Pashayev, whom many accused of unprofessionalism and PR. The convicted artist asked the court of appeal not to consider complaints about the sentences submitted to him by former lawyers.

Already being in the investigative isolator, Efremov told the member of the PMC Eve Merkacheva that Pashaev “set up” him “for these eight years” and that the lawyer “promised one thing, but it turned out another”.

Actually, Pashayev no longer has the right to act as someone else's defender.

The lawyer chamber of North Ossetia deprived him of the status of a lawyer for one year for a disciplinary offense. The ex-vocabulary himself said that previously he had already been deprived of a lawyer status three times: in Moscow, in the Krasnodar Territory and in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.

The new defender of the artist Roman Filippov pointed out that the previous lawyer allegedly exerted pressure on the actor. Filippov recalled that Pashaev violated the “Code of Professional Ethics of Lawyers”, which means that Efremov in court lost the right to defense. Therefore, the defense hopes for the softening of the sentence. When asked why his client sharply changed his position and repented again, the lawyer did not answer.
