In Yekaterinburg, the 4th district of the world court of the Leninsky district acquitted the young engineer Anton Istomin, who a year ago came into conflict with the deputy head of the Investigative Committee for the Oktyabrsky district of the city Artem Khalilov. According to investigators, the 24-year-old boy threatened to kill their colleague.
The conflict occurred at the tire inflation machine at one of the city's gas stations. As Novaya Gazeta has already said, a high-ranking employee of the UK, who arrived at the gas station in a gold-colored Lexus, wedged into the queue. 24-year-old Istomin didn't let the driver out of the queue.
Immediately after the conflict, a criminal case was initiated against Anton under part 1 of article 119 of the Criminal Code “Threat to kill”, which was conducted by five investigators at once on especially important cases of the investigative department of the regional Investigative Committee. At the same time, the statements of Istomin himself did not find legal support in law enforcement agencies.
“In the trial, the investigation did not provide evidence of Istomin’s guilt, except for Khalilov’s own testimony,” Elena Afanasyeva, the defendant’s lawyer, told Novaya Gazeta. - The judge simply compared the testimony of the victim with a video recording from a gas station, which completely refutes the words of Khalilov. There was no other evidence."
