The rally was organized by several opposition parties at once, which could not overcome the threshold of 7% of the vote and did not get into the Zhogorku Kenesh - the country's parliament. Leaders of political movements and their supporters are demanding an annulment of the voting results. In parallel with this, the townspeople gathered at the Opera and Ballet Theatre, later two rallies merged.
“We openly express dissatisfaction on the street! Dirty elections - no! We do not recognize them! Corrupt officials and bandits should be in prison. Their place is there, not in parliament. We must fight together. Our fathers shed their blood for their native land, and the current authorities are selling it. We must persistently offer to annul the elections,” Mirlan Jeenchoroev, leader of the Respublika party, said during the rally.

On the eve of the country's parliamentary elections, the turnout was 56.5%. Only four parties managed to overcome the seven percent barrier, three of which are pro-government. In total, 16 political associations were represented in the elections, the opposition reports large-scale fraud and demands a revision of the results.
