On October 7, police officers detained four opposition activists because of a rally in the central square of Novokuibyshevsk (Samara Region). The action was dedicated to the birthday of President Putin. This is reported by Idel.Realii.
One of the activists was wearing a mask with the face of Putin, the other was holding a poster with the phrase of the speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin “Oil and gas are not our advantage. Our advantage is Putin.”
Three hours after the start of the rally, its participants were detained and taken to the police station. Among them was Mikhail Abdalkin, head of the regional branch of the Labor Association trade union. They learned personal data from the detainees, then took explanations, including about the lack of social distance between them. After that, the activists were released without drawing up protocols.
