The Khamovnican District Court of Moscow fined Anastasia Pikulin for 15 thousand rubles in the wake of the detention due to the flag of Belarus at the marathon. She herself told the OVD-Info about this.
The interests of Pikulina were defended in court by a lawyer from the OVD-Info Sergey Telnov.
Pikulin was found guilty under an article on violation of the rules of participation in a public event (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The court stated that Pikulina had an unauthorized action due to the fact that she came to the marathon with the flag of Belarus.
On September 20, 8 people were detained in Moscow, who came to the marathon with the flags of Belarus. One of the detainees Anastasia Pikulina explained that her friends, Belarusian athletes participate in the marathon. She and several more people came to root for them and stood on the site for spectators with the flags of Belarus. The police said that the support group was conducting an inconsistent rally, and detained 8 people. In the department, the detainees were helped by a lawyer from the ATS-Info Sergey Telnov.
In Belarus, after the presidential election on August 9, mass protests began: the shares participants believe that the election results were falsified in favor of the current head of state Alexander Lukashenko.
