The monument to Knke, opposite the Vasileostrovskaya metro station, temporarily became ownerless - there is no one to monitor the object, because the company that owns them goes through the bankruptcy procedure. This was reported to the “Paper” by the deputy chairman of St. Petersburg Veropiik Sergey Vasiliev.
According to Vasiliev, the owner of the monument to Glissada LLC is worried about the fate of the sculptural group and the car and was already trying to “attach them to good hands”, but it was not possible to do this. Locals say that they also turned into a number of museums, but there they did not agree to accept the monument.
On October 24, activists plan to hold a subbotnik at the monument to Knke to clean it. The event was agreed with the administration of the Vasileostrovsky district.
The monument to Knke appeared at Vasileostrovskaya in 2004 - at first it was a copy of the car built according to the drawings of the Putilov plant. Later, the sculptures of horses and a wagoned were added to her. The monument was used as a point for selling tickets for aircraft and trains.

Earlier, “Paper” said that a monument to a carriage on the 1st Sovetskaya Street was overwhelmed several times with garbage. Inside found bottles and cigarette butts.
In the summer of 2020, Petersburgers complained that the monument to Knke was littered with garbage. The administration of the Vasileostrovsky district then reported that the owner has no funds to clean the object.
