
The head physician of the city hospital No. 2 of Omsk Nikolai Yurgel died. This was reported in the regional Ministry of Health on October 17, without specifying the cause of death.
“He devoted his whole life to the Omsk health care: over 37 years of work, Nikolai Yuryevich has gone from an ordinary doctor to the head of one of the largest city hospitals,” the ministry claims.
On September 1, the city hospital No. 2 returned to the provision of primary health care in planned form after the first wave of coronavirus. But in October the second wave began.
According to the latest data, 13205 (+168) of new cases fell ill in the Omsk region, 10270 people recovered. At least 371 patients died.
