The defendants of the Krasnogvardeisky case “Hizb Ut-Taurir” requested a deadlines from 15 to 18 years

During the debate in the Krasnogvardeisky case, the Hizb Ut-Tahrir in the Southern District Military Court, the prosecutor requested the deadlines from 15 to 18 years. It is reported by Crimean Solidarity.
The prosecution demanded the sentence of the Crimean Tatars to the following punishments:
Rustem Emiruseinov - by 18 years in prison in a maximum security colony, one and a half years of administrative supervision.
Arsen Abkhairova - to 15 years in prison in a maximum security colony.
Escender Abdulganiev - by 16 years in prison in a maximum security colony.
Emiruseinov is accused under the article on the organization of the activities of a terrorist organization (part 1 of article 205.5 of the Criminal Code), Abkhairov and Abdulganiev - under the article on participation in the activities of a terrorist organization (part 2 of article 205.5 of the Criminal Code).
The defendants in the Krasnogvardeisky case “Hizb Ut-Taurir” were detained in Crimea as a result of searches in February 2019.
Rustem Emiruseinov, Arsen Abkhairov and Escender Abdulganiev are kept in jail. At the moment, their case is considered by the court on the merits, the defendants are not plead guilty.
“Hizb Ut-Tahrir” was recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia. Its participants are accused and sentenced to real terms only on the basis of the fact that they met in apartments, read religious literature and recruited new participants. According to the SOVA information and analytical center, the party was recognized as terrorist in Russia unlawful.
