The final exhibition of "open studios" opens at the "Vinzavod"

Today, October 20, the Winzavod Center in Moscow begins the exhibition “Walls Help”, completing the 5th season of the Open Studio Support project for young artists.

According to the organizers of the exhibition, its name refers simultaneously to the house as a type of space, and to the laws of exhibiting or showing, to the principles of the White Cuba.

Participants: Alina Brovina, Andrei Stadnikov, Anna Kondratyeva, Bella Pokrov, Ivan Volkov, Ivan Simonov, Ekaterina Gerasimenko, Maria Aligozhina, Maria Filimonova, Misha Goodwin, Nika Chernyaeva, Roman Kazus, Julia Nemova.

On the vernisais, the artist Lena Buzueva will present the instructive Time-Specific performance "But this is not for sure."

“The fifth season of open studios was very different from the previous ones. Pandemia and related restrictions made their adjustments, and therefore artists became one and a half times more, the existence of the season was more intense, the dynamics of relations and work was constantly changing, and the general development vector was impossible to predict, ”says Andrei Parshikov, the curator of the exhibition and the tutor of“ open studios ”.

“Artists constantly experimented with techniques,” he notes, “actively exchanged the results of these experiments, even physically in more close domestic contact with each other than in previous seasons. <...> The graduation project for the first time plays the classical role of concern for the representation of the works of artists created during the work in the studios, as well as the design of the process of creating these works and thoughts of artists in the form of small mudboards that create the necessary volume and support of the existence of these works. ”

The exhibition “Walls help” in the Winzavod CSI will last until November 10 .
