The Leninsky District Court of Perm once again dismissed the case of Anton Samoshin due to "insignificance", who asked the regional governor a question about the case of " Putin's dolls ". This was reported by the Public Verdict Foundation.
Samoshin was charged with an article on petty hooliganism (part 1 of article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). Earlier, Elena Pershakova, the foundation's lawyer, had already achieved the dismissal of the case, but decided to appeal against the court's decision, as it stated that the case was dismissed both due to the absence of an offense and "for insignificance." They wanted to announce a verbal reprimand to the activist.
Samoshin's defense appealed the decision, and on appeal, the Perm Regional Court returned the case for review to the district court in order to "eliminate the contradictions that led to significant violations of the procedural requirements of the law, which did not allow a comprehensive, complete and objective consideration of the case."
At the second consideration, the district court once again dismissed the case, but not for the lack of corpus delicti, but “for insignificance”. The defenders do not agree with this decision and intend to ensure that the court recognizes that Samoshin's questions cannot be qualified as petty hooliganism.
