The Supreme Court of Chuvashia found the ex-candidate for the Cheboksary City Duma Semyon Kochkin guilty of using agitcubes as part of his own election campaign. He was given a fine. This is reported by the "Apology of Protest".
The court reclassified article from part 2 (holding an action without notification) to part 1 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation by the organizer of the procedure for organizing or holding an event) in two administrative cases against Kochkin. The court reduced the amount of the fine - from 20 thousand, appointed by the district court, to 10 thousand rubles for each of the cases.
On September 3, a week and a half before the elections, Kochkin was detained to be taken to the district court, where he was convicted before the arrival of his lawyer. He was given two fines of 20,000 rubles each under the article on organizing an uncoordinated picket. The reason was the installation of four campaign cubes at the end of August in the Raduzhny and Volzhsky-3 microdistricts of Cheboksary. At the same time, the candidate submitted notifications to the mayor's office for these cubes.
