The Office of the Investigative Committee for the Kurgan Region has completed the investigation of the case against a 63-year-old resident of the village of Tselinnoye, accused of murdering his wife. This is reported on the department's website.
In June, during an argument, the husband broke his 66-year-old wife’s ribs, the investigation notes. In addition, the woman was then diagnosed with a head injury.
In August, a drunk man beat his wife again; he punched and kicked, including to the head, the Investigative Committee found. The attacker then hit his wife, who was lying on the sofa, at least five times with a wooden stool. The victim died in the hospital.
The villager is charged with causing harm to health of moderate severity without causing consequences (Part 1 of Article 112 of the Criminal Code) and causing harm to health resulting in death (Part 4 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code).
The man admitted guilt. He has already been convicted of threatening to kill and torturing his wife, the release said. He was placed under arrest. The prosecutor's office approved the indictment.
