From the editorial office
Once a week on Fridays, Ekaterina Pisareva, the chief editor of the MyBook book service, including 260 thousand publications and 50 thousand audiobooks, will know with knowledge not only about the most interesting new products in 2020, but also choose those that can be read quickly and with pleasure.
Recently, the boundaries between life and social networks, as well as between literature and life, have been extremely blurred. Before the “Ripol-Classic” publishing house “one boy” of the poet Vitaly Pukhanov had time to go out, the playwright Valery Pecheikin, who appeared in the new version of the Inspiria (Eksmo Publishing House) caught up with him. He caught up, like an older brother, and laughed in his face.
Jokes jokes, and both of these books grew out of Facebook, and this, I must say, is the trend of our time: the texts are born before our eyes, tested on beta-relapses, and are fueled with likes. They are very lively, daring, trigger.
The book of Valery Pecheikin is a collection of miniatures, ironic stories about the spirit of time.
The “Cherry Orchard Garden”, as it was very accurately described in the editorial office, read is a complete pleasure.
True, it is not clear why the annotation says that the author never had a book before? Or a collection of plays "Lucifer", released by Kolonna Publications, does not count? One thing is for sure - a book such as the “evil boy”, Pecheikin definitely did not have.
In total, the collection has thirteen small chapters. They are read as jokes on different topics: sometimes scary, sometimes bitter, and sometimes not very appropriate. Easily and recklessly the author notes the details, introduces the reader to memorable characters, finds himself in funny situations, ridicules the realities, including political ones.
Pechekin seems to be afraid of either God or the devil - he, as a skilled playwright, himself and his own.
The name of the collection "Evil Boy" is a reference to Chekhov’s story of the same name. Pecheikin, as it were, rewalls the entire literary heritage and gives out his own version - not a postmodernist, but a wizard. Interestingly, the main character of almost all texts is the author himself, the author, the hero of our time. Pecheikin enters himself in spite of everyone-he unwinds a ball of memory, passes through the internal labyrinths and is not at all afraid that the Minotaur can jump out of the corner. The main character, according to the laws of the genre, cannot die.
“Valerochka wrote a very funny book to himself and all sorts of heaver, which is called life. Valerochka wrote. And you read it, ”Cyril Serebrennikov calls from the cover.
Read this hot prose - as if to look in the Facebook mirror.
Pechekin can make a performance from everything: from washing linen to filling the papers in RAO. Its author’s “I” is a smart mockingbird, a sensitive Internet troll. Nothing will hide from his keen gaze, the evil boy Valera Pechekin will notice everything and ridicules - from the beauty of computer craftsmen to the difficult work of adult streamers, from Rosgvardis to epibofiles, from coronavirus to HIV tests.
And how not to become an evil boy if Moscow, Kremlin, Putin around?
