The farther, the more it seems that the terrible prophecy of Galich comes true - the monuments to Stalin come to life, come out of the storerooms and march along the streets. "They would, gypsum, humanity, will again gain greatness!" And the drums really beat, just like Galich’s.
Under this drum battle, under the repulsion of enemies, under our Crimea and getting up from the knees, monuments to Stalin and Ivan the Terrible are erected from the knees, the constitution is destroyed and the publication of special opinions of judges of the Constitutional Court is prohibited. Under this drum, people go to prison for a peaceful protest and just for a word. And in St. Petersburg from the Dovlatovsky House on Rubinstein Street, sixteen tablets of the last address are removed.
No, they didn’t just take off-people asked, three of some active, hiding for some reason their surnames of a citizen.
But in our country, the authorities always react to people's appeals - right? And now, about these sixteen, who were never killed by the state, nothing more reminds.
When Yuri Dmitriev, the Supreme Court of Karelia at the same evidence base increased the sentence four times, everything was clear. People, proudly calling themselves the Chekists, hanging portraits of Dzerzhinsky in the offices, did not forgive him for the fact that he betrayed the publicity of the crime of their predecessors.
The verdict of Dmitriev is a direct revenge, the victory of the very “gypsum fragments” that Galich wrote about.
They have something to report to the great leader when the next time they come with flowers to his grave on Red Square.
With vandalism in St. Petersburg, the situation is more complicated. This is a public action, in fact-abuse of graves-did not cause mass indignation, and someone approved it. And not all of those who approved - the spiritual descendants of the communist executioners, longing for a new wave of terror. Most of them do not want violence and murders - they want peace.
Children, and we all need positive, they say, and with the signs of these house it looks like a columbarium. They didn’t kill these people, they may even sympathize with them, but they don’t want them to constantly remind them of the long -gone years, in which, of course, everything was - but what a country was built!
The problem is not in the heirs of Stalin and not in the power that is indulging with them. More precisely, not only in them. The problem is in ordinary, not evil people for whom it doesn’t matter that the whole country was turned into a cemetery - it is important that it does not look like a cemetery. This did not arise now.
In the early eighties, I was the first time in Vorkuta. Around the former camps that became the districts of the city, crosses stood in the fields - this was how mass burial places were noted. Just crosses, without any names, of course - and who knows, those names? And how many are they buried there? I come in a year - there are no crosses.
They decided, they say, not to spoil people's mood, for a long time, they say, all this was. Of course, no one was reburied - a field and a field.
Our fellow citizens, not everyone, but many, know how to endure poverty and hardships, from which the Frenchman or the Englishman would have been rebelled for a long time. And ours will endure. But they are not able to live in conditions of psychological discomfort - they do not want to hear about diseases and suffering, cruelty and poverty. They feel bad in the world in which all this is, and they create another world for themselves. In order not to think about death, they are ready to demolish cemeteries! Well, the removal of the tablets installed in memory of the dead, as it were, cancels the fact of the murder. Such a magical action!
This is not politics - these are people. And culture, traditions. We had few people with disabilities on the streets - and now less than in the West - not only because there were no strollers and ramps. The disabled violated the correct - optimistic! - The picture to the world. Therefore, by the way, going to meet the wishes of the workers, more precisely, having predicted these wishes, Comrade Stalin and exiled to the northern islands of the defenders of the homeland crippled at the front. Where they died, without insulting a noby gaze.
The unwillingness to see the horrors of this world moves many people not on active activity to improve it, but to leave the world of illusions, where there are no horrors.
Even when something breaks into consciousness in the form, for example, requests to send money for the treatment of a sick child, who for some reason does not want to treat the state, you send two hundred rubles and feel like a noble person. You can continue to watch Malakhov, rejoicing that everything happens with Natalia, but we do not get to such and such abominations.
As a result, we live in a beautiful country, which since Rurik has carried good and light, the people in it were always kind and God -fearing, power - wise and fair. And now, if it weren’t for the enemies around, everything would be fine, but we win them thanks to who are clear to whom.
Yes, we live in a beautiful, but, unfortunately, an invented country that is not and has never been. We live as a hopeless patient of a psychiatric hospital or a deep old man in dementia - without any connections with reality.
And when reality knocks on us a sign of the last address, we remove this sign.
It’s good that we are not Germany. This is where hell is. In the center of the capital is a memorial to the Holocaust victims, on pavement - Stolpersteine (“stumbling stones”) - signs with the names of those killed during Nazism, schoolchildren are taken on excursions to museums created on the site of concentration camps. And nowhere - nowhere! - You won’t get from this.
And it is impossible to attribute flowers to Hitler's grave - there is no grave.
