The daily increase in new coronavirus infection in Russia amounted to 16,710 cases in 84 regions, Interfax reports with reference to the data of the operational headquarters to control coronavirus, published on Sunday.

The day before, 16,521 cases were registered in the Russian Federation, on Friday - 17,340 new cases of Covid -19 (this was a maximum for all the time of the pandemic).

In Moscow per day, coronavirus was detected in another 4,455 people. According to the opera, over the past 24 hours, 1,072 patients with coronavirus have been hospitalized. 2,614 people recovered, 68 patients died. The operative notes that 10.3% among the sick are children, 45% are people aged 18 to 45 years, 30.3% - from 46 to 65 years old, another 10% - from 66 to 79 years. 4.4% of the sick are people over 80 years old.

In medical institutions of the capital, 312 people with a diagnosis of COVID-19 are connected to the apparatus of artificial ventilation. On the eve of Moscow, 1,339 people were hospitalized.

229 people died in the country per day in the country, 7,704 patients were cured.
