A feminist cultural project “Femdacha” has appeared in the Moscow region - a guest space for femme and LGBT activists who have experienced emotional burnout. Journalist and activist Daria Serenko reported this on Facebook.
According to Daria, independent human rights activists experience high psychological stress, face threats and persecution, are constantly overworked, and receive low salaries.
In Russia, as Daria Serenko noted, there are very few inpatient projects to help people who themselves help others. “We have been looking for a long time for a place where we could go for free for a while to change the environment and recuperate in a space that is safe for our views,” she explained.
“Femdacha” will be ready to receive guests from the second half of November. It can accommodate up to six people at a time for a period of at least one week and no more than one month. You can fill out an application for accommodation on the project website .
