In St. Petersburg, a poet, translator, children's writer, author of the book “Scarecrow-Home” Mikhail Yasnov died. This was reported on Facebook by his wife.

Yasnov was 74 years old. The cause of death is unknown. On October 27, the poet’s wife reported that he was in intensive care.

Mikhail Yasnov was born on January 8, 1946 in Leningrad. He is the author of more than 100 books of poems and prose for children, translated French poetry. One of his most famous poems is “Scarecrow-Home”, in whose honor the book was named and according to which they created a Soviet cartoon with the character of the same name.
