Sber became the sole owner of Rambler Group

Sberbank (formerly Sberbank) bought a 45% stake in Rambler Group from Alexander Mamut and became the sole owner of the group. This was reported by the press service of the credit institution.

“Sberbank consolidates 100% of Rambler and buys a 45% stake in Rambler Group from Alexander Mamut. The parties signed the binding documentation and closed the deal. Payment for 45% of Rambler Group shares will be made in tranches. The first one - in the amount of 3 billion rubles - will be paid immediately after the deal is closed," the company said.

In addition, as part of the deal, Mamut will sell to the bank his stake in the capital's Khudozhestvenny cinema, which is currently under reconstruction.

Against the backdrop of news about the purchase of Rambler Group, Sberbank shares began to grow. Now one share is traded at the level of 205.5 rubles. Sber became a shareholder of the Rambler Group in 2019, and this summer it increased its stake in the company to 55%.
