The defense of politician Alexei Navalny complained to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) about the refusal to open a case in Russia about his poisoning. This was reported to MBKh Media by lawyer Olga Mikhailova.

According to her, in the complaint, Navalny demands to recognize that Article 2 of the European Convention (the right to life) is thus violated.

According to Mikhailova, the ECtHR accepted the complaint and gave it priority.

On October 30, the Kirovsky District Court of Tomsk did not force the investigation to open a case on the poisoning of Navalny. A lawsuit with such a requirement was filed by the Anti-Corruption Foundation.
In the lawsuit, the fund also pointed to the inaction of the transport police in Tomsk, reports Interfax with reference to the press service of the Tomsk District Court. The court also dismissed this complaint.
Investigators of the transport department for the Siberian Federal District of the Ministry of Internal Affairs began checking after Navalny's hospitalization, in September it was reported that they did not find signs of intentional harm to the politician's health.
Also in September, the Moscow Basmanny Court refused to satisfy the FBK's complaint about the inaction of the RF IC, where the fund applied with a demand to open a case on Navalny's poisoning. The fund claimed that they did not receive a response from the department in due time. At the trial, it turned out that the IC sent the FBK complaint to the West Siberian Department of the IC on transport.
