Iraida Misko, a 75-year-old candidate of agricultural sciences from Belarusian Zhodino, received a fine of 20 basic units (about 16,000 Russian rubles) for demonstrating a white-red-white marshmallow (coinciding with the colors of the historic and now protest flag of Belarus) at a mass rally, reports edition of Ex-press.by.
At the meeting, the court considered photos and videos in which Misko participates in protests. In one of the protocol photos, a pensioner holds a marshmallow in the colors of the flag in her hand.
“Yes, this is how she protests. Marshmallow,”& —& testified before the court& militia captain Yevgeny Semashko.
Officers from the local police department also came to Misko's apartment and confiscated the computer. She was told that the police had other protocols in her case. After the presidential elections in Belarus on August 9, Misko regularly goes to rallies with a BCHB flag, which she previously openly stated .
