The distant conflict around the French cartoons on the Prophet Muhammad and the attacks followed by them unexpectedly became a major factor in Russian politics.
The head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov made another loud statement, accusing France President Emmanuel Macron of "becoming like a terrorist." According to Kadyrov, it is the disrespect for religion, which is widespread in Europe, that provokes Muslims to murders. By his statement, the head of the region is expanding the diplomatic crisis, now indicated between Moscow and Paris - against the backdrop of poisoning of Navalny and new European sanctions.
Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov tried to stop this statement, publicly reminding Kadyrov that the foreign policy of Russia is determined by Vladimir Putin and is not among the competencies of the leaders of the Russian republics. The head of Chechnya did not climb into his pocket for a word and immediately arranged Peskov to a rebuke: Kadyrov’s curses to Macron were thrown by a Muslim, not a politician. And if in order to express such eternal truths, you will need to leave your post, then Kadyrov is ready to do this at any time.
Formal position of Peskov - Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration. In the Russian political hierarchy, this means that any Russian governor would be happy to report to him about the work done, to receive praise and criticism. In this tone with Peskov, no one has spoke publicly yet:
It is clear that the relations of Chechnya and the federal center during the “scandal of caricatures” reach a new level.
The press secretary of the Russian president, by the way, said that he did not intend to respond to Demarsh Kadyrov.
A few days later, Kadyrov arranged a rude chatter of Zhirinovsky, who, in fact, repeated the words of Peskov that governors should deal with the economic problems of his regions. “Religion and culture are concepts that are not combined with you,” Ramzan Kadyrov wrote in his Telegram channel, addressing the leader of the LDPR. The statement with regard to Zhirinovsky is banal, but revealing from the point of view of the fact that Kadyrov actually thinks about his "like -minded people from the presidential team." From Zhirinovsky, who made his career on ethnic populism in the name of the “Russians and the poor,” the head of Chechnya now demands an apology.
So Putin's Infantry attacks other kinds of troops, including propaganda and intensity in deep rear, with whom he seemed to be fighting for strengthening the Russian Federation.
Kadyrov’s flank support is provided by the wrestler Khabib Nurmagomedov, who hopes that “the Almighty will disfigure the face of this creature [macron] and all his followers.” The athlete adds that the president of France is Islamophobe and therefore "tries to offend the feelings of believers."
When the Russian authorities, offended by Pussy Riot in 2012, initiated the adoption of the law on the protection of the “feelings of believers”, they hardly consulted with religious scholars. Otherwise, they would know that in a multi -confessional country, such a law would inevitably lead to an increase in conflicts, and perhaps even cast doubt on the unity of the “Putin majority”.
Meanwhile, feelings grow and multiply, not to offend them becomes almost impossible. An insult to feelings becomes self -evident truth and can be punishable by death. As everyone understands, the main sensiture of the country now lives in the Caucasus.
In the place of the Kremlin, we would at that moment think about the emergency strengthening of secular values and tolerance.
