A resident of Chita was fined 30 thousand rubles for a post with a caricature of a man “similar” to Putin

The Central District Court of Chita imposed a fine of 30,000 rubles on local resident Boris Vitkovsky for publishing a caricature of a man who looked like Vladimir Putin. Information about this was discovered by MBKh Media on the website of the court.

The court found Vitkovsky guilty of contempt of authority (part 3 of article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). According to the court order, the fined person posted on the social network “information expressed in an indecent form, containing an obscene expression, with a caricature depicting a man who looks like President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin.”

• In March 2019, Vladimir Putin signed a law on disrespect for authority. For the first offense under this law, a fine of 30 to 100 thousand rubles is provided.
