The defendants of the Krasnogvardeisky case "Hizb Ut-Taurir" were sentenced to terms of 12 to 17 years

The Southern District Military Court at a meeting in Rostov-on-Don announced the verdict to the defendants in the Krasnogvardeisky case “Hizb Ut-Tahrir”. This is reported by the movement "Crimean Solidarity".

Rustem Emiruseinov was found guilty under the article on the organization of the activities of a terrorist organization (part 1 of article 205.5 of the Criminal Code), Arsen Abkhairov and Eskender Abdulganiev - under an article on participation in the activities of a terrorist organization (part 2 of article 205.5 of the Criminal Code). On the T -shirts of believers were the inscriptions: “1944 - appointed as traitors” , “2016 - appointed to terrorists” and “The study of religion is not terrorism”.

The court decided to send all three to a maximum security colony: Abdulganiev for 12 years, Abkhairova - for 13, Emirusinov for 17. The first two years will have to be held in prison. During the punishment, they will take the time of detention before the court.

The prosecutor at the meeting on October 19 asked to be sentenced to Rustem Emiruseinov by 18 years in a maximum security colony, Arsen Abkhairov - by 15, and escorter Abdulganiev - by 16.

More than 200 people came to support the defendants in the case-their relatives and fellow countrymen, as well as the Consul of Ukraine in Rostov-on-Don Yuri Dovgul. On the eve of another 200 people, heading to the Rostov court, were detained on the Kerch bridge in Crimea. In the evening they took documents from them and returned only on the morning of November 3, the detainees did not get to Rostov-on-Don.

After the sentence in Simferopol, three people detained at the building of the Crimean garrison military court, the participant of the “Crimean solidarity” Lutfiy Zudiev reports. In the building of the Crimean garrison court was a lawyer Rustem Kamielev, who participated in a meeting of the Southern District Military Court on Video Conference.

Crimean Solidarity correspondents Vilen Temereyanov and Ablyamit Ziyadinov, as well as activist Erfan Bekirov, were taken to the Department of Internal Affairs No. 3 "Central". Lawyer Rustem Kamylev reports that the detainees probably are charged with an article on violation of the rules of mass events (Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) due to a meeting with the court. The police tried to remove the posters from them before the arrival of defenders and translators.

Vilnu Temereyanova police fused an article on the organization of an inconsistent action (part 2 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), Erfan Bekirov - an article on participation in such an action (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), and Ablyamit Ziidinov - an article on non -compliance with the “increased readiness” regime (Article 20.6.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).

• On October 31, the mother of Rustem Emiruseinov Zrera went out to a single picket in support of her son. She stood with the poster "My son is not a terrorist." The police rudely interrupted the action, as a result of which the woman was hospitalized with a diagnosis of hypertensive crisis.
• The defendants of the Krasnogvardeisky case “Hizb Ut-Taurir” Rustem Emiruseinov, Escender Abdulganiev and Arsen Abkhairov were detained in Crimea as a result of searches in February 2019. Since then before the sentence they were in custody.
• “Hizb Ut-Tahrir” was recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia. Its participants are accused and sentenced to real terms only on the basis of the fact that they met in apartments, read religious literature and recruited new participants. According to the SOVA information and analytical center, the party was recognized as terrorist in Russia unlawful.
