A participant in protests in support of ex-governor Furgal was detained in Khabarovsk

In Khabarovsk, lawyer Stanislav Zimin, a participant in protests in support of ex-governor Sergei Furgal, was detained. He himself told OVD-Info about this.

Stanislav Zimin is taken to police station No. 4. It is unknown for participation in what specific action he was detained and what administrative offense he is charged with.

15:04 Stanislav Zimin’s wife Svetlana reported to the OVD-Info hotline that the police took his phone and transferred him to a special detention center. Zimin is charged with an article on violating the rules of participation in a rally, which provides for arrest as punishment - which part of Art. 20.2 of the Administrative Code, unknown. He was left overnight until the hearing in the Kirovsky District Court, which is scheduled to take place on November 4.

16:43 Stanislav Zimin is charged with participation in an uncoordinated action that interfered with infrastructure (Part 6.1 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code), his wife reports. The police did not specify the date of the meeting: the meeting could take place either on November 4 or 5.

November 4 A meeting with Stanislav Zimin is scheduled for November 5, his interests will be represented by a lawyer from OVD-Info, reports project legal assistance coordinator Anna Romashchenko.

• Since July 11, in the Khabarovsk Territory and other regions of the country, rallies have been held in support of the arrested ex-governor Sergei Furgal. Until about July 18, the police made almost no attempt to interfere with the protesters, but later law enforcement officers began to detain the protesters. In the overwhelming majority of cases, they were detained after the protests, including on other days, right at home or at work, after which they were taken to police departments and courts, where they were fined or arrested.
