In Khabarovsk, two protesters were sentenced to 3 to 15 days of arrest, and another was fined

The Central District Court of Khabarovsk sentenced the driver of the Furgalomobile, Andrei Maklygin, to 15 days of arrest and the protest participant Javanshir Barkh to 3 days of arrest. Anna Romashchenko, coordinator of legal assistance at OVD-Info, reports this.

Andrei Maklygin was detained on November 2, when he came to the police station to pick up previously seized sound equipment. A report was drawn up against him for repeated violation of the rally legislation (Part 8 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) due to his participation in the rally on October 10. Javanshir Barkha and another person were detained a little later while dispersing a procession in support of ex-governor Sergei Furgal on Lenin Street. The department drew up protocols against them under the article on participation in an action that interfered with the operation of the infrastructure (Part 6.1, Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code). All three were kept in a temporary detention center until the trial.

The detainee, along with Barkh, was fined 10 thousand rubles.

On November 11, the Khabarovsk Regional Court upheld the arrest of Andrei Maklygin. This was reported by OVD-Info lawyer Tatyana Titkova, who defended the activist.

Since July 11, in the Khabarovsk Territory and other regions of the country, rallies have been held in support of the arrested ex-governor Sergei Furgal. Until about July 18, the police made almost no attempt to interfere with the protesters, but later law enforcement officers began to detain the protesters. In the overwhelming majority of cases, they were detained after the protests, including on other days, right at home or at work, after which they were taken to police departments and courts, where they were fined or arrested.
After the dispersal of the rally on October 10, criminal cases were opened against several people: three under the article on the use of violence against a government official (Part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code) and one under the “Dada” article on repeated violations of the procedure for holding public events (Article 212.1 of the Criminal Code) .
