Permanent representatives of the EU countries in Brussels agreed on new sanctions against high-ranking officials of Belarus. This is reported by TASS with reference to a source in the delegation of one of the European countries.
According to the diplomat, the new black list will include the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. Officially, the decision will be approved by the EU Council in the coming days.
Radio Liberty journalist Rikard Yozwiak said that in addition to Lukashenka, 14 people would be subject to sanctions. They will have their assets frozen in Europe, and they themselves will be banned from entering the EU.
