Vito-1, which the media connected with businessman Evgeny Podozhin, filed a lawsuit in the Arbitration Court of the Publisher of the St. Petersburg Fontanka portal for 36.4 million rubles. The MBH Media found the relevant information in the court of the court.
The editor-in-chief of Fontanka, Alexander Gorshkov, told MBH Media that the lawsuit was filed due to the article that Vito-1 would put food for members of Moscow election commission, in which the company was called Prigozhin.
“They consider it offensive by the fact of mentioning them as a company allegedly connected with the restaurateur Prigozhin. We did not claim that they were connected. In this case, we referred to the publications of other media. Then we will meet in court, I have no doubt that he will put everything in its place. In theory, they would have to be grateful for advertising, because the mention in such a connection should bring large commercial benefits of any company, ”Gorshkov said.
The lawsuit "Vito-1" is currently left without movement, as the company did not provide a number of necessary documents. The plaintiff demanded to reimburse 16.4 million rubles of missed benefits and 20 million rubles of reputation damage due to Fontanka's article.
For the first time, Vito-1 was connected with Prigozhin in the investigation of the Anti-Corruption Center of the Yabloko party. Such a conclusion in the center came on the basis that Vito-1 is also part of the Association of Social Power Company enterprises in the field of education and healthcare.
However, the “present” wrote that there are no formal connections between the company and the structures of Prigozhin. The publication did not exclude the version of the informal control of Putin's cook over Vito-1 or the conspiracy of the owners about the division of the government orders. In favor of this it was said that the outbreak of infection was recorded in kindergartens served by companies both Prigozhin and Vito-1.
The connection was also traced through former employees and a lawyer engaged in registration and liquidation of enterprises. Against the connection with Prigozhin, the fact said that Vito-1 has no financial relations with the companies of Putin, which is uncharacteristic of the businessman’s empire. Since 2009, Natalya Grebenshchikova has been the sole owner of Vito-1 since 2009, while Prigozhin's structures came to the Moscow market in 2011.
