Ufa Kirovsky District Court arrested activist Ramil Saitova until January 6 in the case of calls for extremism on the Internet (part 2 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code). This was reported by the United press service of the courts of the republic.
The Bashkir nationalist was detained the night before, wrote the Bashinform state news agency and the Telegram channel “Case for the Kurai” with reference to sources.
The publications claimed that the case was opened because of the video on the UTUB channel Saitova with the announcement of the folk gathering-. In the video of November 3, she said that the gathering will take place on December 12 in the village of Uzyan, where by this moment the cross, "established in violation of all moral and ethical norms," since "we are a secular state."
On October 4, Saitova, introducing himself as the “acting chairman of the Government of Bashkortostan,” clarified that at the collection they would discuss “the demolition of all crosses in the Urals”. “The first should be demolished the cross that is in Uzyan in front of the school <..> Yiyyn is being carried out when the cross is already dismantled. If they do not dismantle our collection, then we will dismantle ourselves, ”the activist added.
The next day, on the morning of October 5, the unknown set fire to a 15-meter worship cross in Uzyan, after which the Republican Ministry of Internal Affairs opened the case of vandalism (Article 214 of the Criminal Code). The cross was installed in the summer of 2016 on the site of the temple burned in 1934. In February 2020, a local resident filed a lawsuit demanding to demolish the cross, claiming that he was established illegally. The lawsuit was rejected .
Saitova was previously nominated for the post of head of the republic, and in September she was appointed ten days of arrest for the video in which she went after a group of girls in the park and said after them: “Since when did we have so many Armenians in Ufa? <..> Tolerance is death! Nobody will touch my child in Bashkortostan. ” In December 2019, she was fined for the announcement of the shares in defense of Shihan Kushtau, and in January they arrested for non -payment of a fine.
