The court extended the arrest of the defendants in the third Bakhchisarai case of Hizb ut-Tahrir for six months.

The Southern District Military Court, located in the Rostov region, on November 6 extended the detention in pre-trial detention center for three defendants in the third Bakhchisaray case of Hizb ut-Tahrir for six months, and another extended house arrest until December. This is reported by "Crimean Solidarity" with reference to the lawyer Lilya Gemedzhi.

The preventive measure for Seytumer Seytumerov, Osman Seytumerov and Rustem Seytmemetov, who are now being held in the Simferopol pre-trial detention center, has been extended for 6 months until April 22, 2021.

The house arrest of Amet Suleymanov was extended until December 22, 2020. Earlier, at the request of the UFSB investigator in Crimea, this preventive measure was chosen for him because of his state of health - the Crimean Tatar activist has arterial and mitral insufficiency, doctors recommended that he replace the heart valve. The lawyer petitioned to replace house arrest with measures related to a ban on certain actions, but the judge rejected all of the defense's motions, Gemedzhi's lawyer said.

• Seitumer Seytumerov, Osman Seytumerov and Rustem Seitmemetov were detained after searches in Crimea on March 11. Later, they were placed in custody , and another person detained along with them in the same case, Amet Suleymanov, was placed under house arrest. The investigation considers all four of them to be participants in the activities of a terrorist organization (part 2 of article 205.5 of the Criminal Code), the namesake and namesake of one of them, Seitumer Seytumerov, who is on the wanted list, is the organizer (part 1 of article 205.5 of the Criminal Code).

The accused are sentenced to various lengthy terms solely on the grounds that they held meetings and read religious literature. On the territory of Ukraine, the activities of Hizb ut-Tahrir are permitted.
