The central part of the presentation is the new M1 chip, which will be built into all three new Apple computers. M1 is a system on the chip that combines the central processor, graphic processor, memory, neuron processor and other elements. It is she who will replace Intel processors and other system components in old generations of computers.
Apple notes several key features of M1: it is executed according to a 5-nanometer technological process, provides a single memory architecture for different processors, and offers a processor with the best WATT performance.
The central processor itself is 8-core, consists of four high-performance and four highly effective nuclei (the latter are needed to save the battery charge on simple tasks). The graphic processor-up to eight nuclei, Neural Engine used to perform machine learning, such as speech recognition or image processing, is 16-core.

The most popular Apple computer will receive the M1 chip. Thanks to this, its central processor will be up to 3.5 times faster than the processor of past generations Air, and graphics processing - up to 5 times faster. It also has an SSD-disk, which works up to two times faster.
There will be no cooler in the MacBook Air - he is “completely quiet”. From one charge of the battery, the computer will be able to work up to 18 hours in the video playing mode and up to 15 hours when working in a browser, this is much longer than it was in past generations.
The webcam in the MacBook Air is still at 720p (this is not a lot, but the picture from it improves using machine learning algorithms, and during video calls the computer should work from one charge up to two times longer.
AIR is available in two versions: with a 256 gigabyt hard drive and a 7-core graphic processor, or with a 512 gigabyte disc and an 8-core processor. In both cases, computers will be delivered in versions with 8 gigabytes of RAM (or now we must say “one?”) - but you can increase to 16 gigabytes for an additional fee.
MacBook Air costs from $ 999 (in Russia - 99,990 rubles). In the USA it can be ordered today, and sales will begin next week.

If you forgot, Mac mini is a small stationary computer from Apple, to which you need to connect a monitor, a keyboard and a mouse (there is still a Mac Pro, it is more and more powerful; they did not talk about it at this presentation).
Mac mini works on the same M1 processor, but compared to the past generation of the model, the central processor received up to 3 times faster, graphics up to 6 times, and work with machine learning algorithms - up to 15 times faster. It has a cooler.
Mac mini costs from $ 699, it is $ 100 cheaper than the models of the past generation. The price in Russia is from 74,990 rubles.
Mac mini is sold in two versions that differ only in the volume of the SSD-disk-256 or 512 gigabytes. Both options are with 8 gigabytes of RAM, which can be expanded to 16 gigabytes for an additional fee.

Another laptop with a chip M1. Many times faster than his predecessors, but Touchbar has not gone anywhere instead of the upper row of the keyboard. The most noticeable is the Apple computer with the longest operation of the battery. In the video viewing mode - up to 20 hours, in the web - up to 17 hours.
MacBook Pro costs from $ 1299 and from 129,990 rubles in Russia. Like Mac Mini and MacBook Air, they began to sell the computer in the United States today. In Russia, computers are marked by "will appear on sale later."
The new MacBook PROs are equipped with only two Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports - but on the Apple website, versions based on Intel processors with four ports continue to be sold. They cost from 179,990 rubles, but you need to understand that they have more a hard drive and the amount of RAM than in the cheapest MacBook Pro with the M1 chip.
The new MacOS, which will work both on Apple computers on the basis of Intel and on new computers with the M1 chip, will be released this Thursday, November 12. Thanks to her, the company claims, poppies with M1 will leave the sleep regime instantly, as iPhones and iPads are doing it now. All Apple's applications are optimized for a new chip.
