The court dismissed the case of a Permian who was fined 100 thousand rubles because of the Memorial expedition

The 7th Cassation Court of General Jurisdiction overturned the sentence of Leonid Ladanov, a resident of the Perm Territory, who was fined 100,000 rubles for participating in the Memorial expedition to the cemetery of the repressed. This was reported by the Public Verdict Foundation, whose lawyer Sergei Kudymov participated in the defense of Ladanov.

Earlier in May, Magistrate Lyudmila Mokrushina found Leonid Ladanov guilty under the article on fictitious registration of foreign citizens (Article 322.2 of the Criminal Code) and imposed a fine. The defense appealed the verdict, but the Kudymkar City Court upheld it.

In cassation, the case was dismissed due to insignificance and due to the absence of corpus delicti in the act. In addition, the court recognized Ladanov's right to rehabilitation.

• In January 2020, the court canceled the fine to the Perm regional branch of the Memorial society and dismissed the case on “unauthorized seizure of forest plots”. The administrative case against the head of the Perm "Memorial" Robert Latypov was also stopped, the fine of 50 thousand rubles was canceled.
