Apple introduced a new line of Macs with its own processors

At the third presentation this fall, Apple for the first time introduced its own processors - and new Mac computers with them: Air, mini and Pro.

The main novelty of the presentation called One more thing (“One more thing”) was the ARM M1 processors. Previously, the company used third-party processors. The last 15 years have been manufactured by Intel. The goal of switching to your own hardware is to increase performance with greater energy efficiency.

M1 is made on a 5-nanometer process technology. Apple calls the M1 CPU and video accelerator the most powerful on the market.

• The MacBook Air on M1 will have 3.5 times faster performance, five times faster graphics. The laptop will be able to work without recharging up to 18 hours, and they promise that it is “silent”. It will cost from $999 in the USA, in Russia - from 99,990 rubles.

• The new Mac mini, Apple's cheapest computer, will cost $699 in the US for the simplest version, in Russia - from 74,990 rubles. The processor will be three times faster than it was, and the graphics will be six times faster.

• The next-gen MacBook Pro has the most powerful battery ever, with up to 20 hours of video playback, 10 hours more than before . The price is from $1299 (from 129,990 rubles in Russia).

Sales of new Apple computers on the M1 will begin in the US on November 17, you can order now. The start date for sales in Russia has not yet been specified.
