Azerbaijan began to place police departments in the NKR

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan announced the beginning of the process to transfer the police to the zone of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), TASS reports with reference to the press service of the department.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that the first police department transferred to the territory of the NKR was the district police department of the Khojavender district. It was placed in the village of Gadut. The department also added that the police forces posted in Karabakh will perform the functions of temporary commandant houses.

On the night of November 10, Russian Presidents Vladimir Putin, Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan signed a statement on the termination of the war in Nagorno-Karabakh. According to the contract, Armenia should return the areas that are part of the so -called Karabakh security belt, also under the control of Azerbaijan, the city of Shusha is strategically significant for both sides.
