Roskomnadzor advised the media to post a video on Russian platforms instead of YouTube

Roskomnadzor recommended that the Russian media post video materials on the platforms of domestic Internet companies. This is stated in the press service of the department.

“To maintain the possibility of reliable and quick access to the content, we recommend that the Russian media and information resources post video materials on the platforms of Russian Internet companies with developed distributed content supply networks (CDN),” Roskomnadzor emphasizes.

The service noted that recently cases of applying the YouTube video hosting by the Blocks, markings, warnings, and “other restrictions regarding the materials of the Russian media and journalists” have become more frequent.

In Roskomnadzor, it is believed that foreign platforms have a targeted policy to restrict the access of Russians to “objective information”.
