The governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov fired the head of the city election commission Viktor Minenko. The resolution is published on the website of the Government of the city.
Minenko was dismissed on November 12 on the basis of his application for reservation. At the same time, the day before, Beglov awarded the head of the St. Petersburg election commission by the Order of Honor "For Great Merits to the State."
The presentation of the Order was criticized by the head of the CEC Ella Pamfilova. She said she could not believe it.
In December 2019, the CEC recognized the work of the St. Petersburg commission in the municipal elections unsatisfactory.
