The wife of the mayor of Tomsk Ivan Klein, before searching in the apartment, threw a pillow into the window, in which financial documentation was hidden. This was reported by Kommersant with reference to sources in law enforcement agencies, familiar with the course of the investigation of the case.

On November 13, the security forces detained the mayor of Tomsk Ivan Klein during a morning meeting in the official’s working office. Kleina was taken out of the administration building in handcuffs. According to investigators, he made fraud with plots for the construction of residential buildings in the interests of his company.

When the investigators came to the official’s house with a search, his wife threw the pillow with documents out the window. There, the driver of the woman picked her up and carried her to the car. In the subsequent pillow, the security forces were seized. In it, according to preliminary data, they found papers with information about bank accounts that the Klein family could use. In total, about 1.3 billion rubles were stored on them.
