Rospotrebnadzor ordered coronavirus tests to be done no more than 48 hours

Rospotrebnadzor issued a decree according to which tests for coronavirus should be prepared no longer than two days - from taking the analysis to receiving the result by the person who passed it.

The head of the department, Anna Popova, signed a document that obliges laboratories to prepare the results of PCR tests for COVID-19 no more than 48 hours.

• It is prescribed to discharge patients with coronavirus after one negative PCR test - both in inpatient and outpatient treatment. If the result is positive, a second analysis should be taken no earlier than three days later.

• Contacts with a patient with coronavirus are allowed into labor collectives 14 days after the last contact if they do not have clinical symptoms.

• Rospotrebnadzor also set the bar for testing: the minimum level of testing coverage should be at least 200 tests per 100,000 people.

• Anna Popova also said that the results of tests for coronavirus will be available on the public services portal. Now a person is often not told the result of a PCR test if it is negative.

According to Rospotrebnadzor, over 69.1 million laboratory tests for coronavirus have been carried out since the beginning of the pandemic. Over the past day - 534 thousand PCR tests.
