In Minsk, a Tut.by journalist was taken from her home in an unknown direction. She wrote about the deceased Roman Bondarenko

In Belarus, the security forces came to the home of Tut.by journalist Katerina Borisevich, who was preparing a story about Roman Bondarenko, who died after being beaten by masked men on the Square of Changes. Later, the publication reported that people in civilian clothes and masks took the journalist out of the house and took her away in an unknown direction.

In addition, the General Prosecutor's Office of Belarus opened a criminal case against a doctor from the City Clinical Emergency Hospital, who told Tut.by about the results of Bondarenko's medical examination. The case was initiated under the article on the disclosure of medical secrets, which entailed grave consequences (part 3 of article 178 of the Criminal Code).

“The suspect entered into a criminal conspiracy with a representative of the Internet resource (tut.by), to whom he provided information about the results of a medical examination of Roman Bondarenko. Thus, he divulged a medical secret, while providing false information, ”the Prosecutor General’s Office said.

Last week, the European Union threatened to impose new sanctions against Belarus due to the death of Roman Bondarenko.

On the evening of November 11, Bondarenko was beaten up by unknown people in masks on the "Square of Changes". The conflict, presumably, occurred because of the red and white ribbons that the visitors wanted to take off. The man was detained and taken to the police department, from where he was hospitalized. He died in intensive care.

Residents of Belarus honored his memory - thousands of people came to the "Square of Changes" and lined up for flowers.
