Apple and Microsoft have begun working on compatibility of the Xbox Series X controller with iPhones

Microsoft and Apple are working on compatible controllers for the Xbox Series X and Series S with iPhones and iPads. The Verge writes about this, citing information from the Apple support site.

Apple plans to support controllers with future updates to iOS and iPadOS.

As noted by The Verge, it's unclear how long it will take Apple to certify the X-series controllers.
